I had a new front porch poured about a month ago. At about 3 weeks a small 8-10 in crack occured. It is now cracked into a y shape and is over 10 feet long. I understand cracks but not at a month? Can you explain why this occured. Where it started is against the foundation, the concrete is over 10 inchec thick at the beginning and has rebar every 12 inches. The crack crosses the spot where rebaris atleast 4 tiems and the crack is growing daily?
